I have my Mutha Thumpe in and somewhat running! Does anyone have an idea what timing to run? I have read about 6-10 degrees...but it seems off. Has anyone else put this cam in their small block ford? If so what are you running for timing? Also does anybody have any trouble sealing the water pump to the timing cover? I keep getting antifreeze pooling up on the timing cover from a waterpump bolt!
    Any advice/feedback would be appeciated
    Thanks!

I'm not sure bout your cam stuff but your antifreeze leaking issue could be coming from one of your bolts that goes through a water passage. I think the method here is to put some sealer on that bolt when you install it. Also post up a vid when you get it runnin good, I'd like to hear that cam in a 302.

Timing needs to be 10-16* BTDC. Pull that bolt and use some ordinary pipe thread sealer on the threads.

Yep, I would set initial timing to at least 16*. Those cams have a fair amount of duration.
