i had my oil changed and they said i had condonsation in my oil how does that happen ? or what could be wrong
This is a common thing if you live in a area of high humidty or excessive rainfall. If the car has been sitting for awhile, the problem is compounded by the moisture in the air seeping into the engine. The other problem may be an internal water leak from blown head gasket or crack in head or block. This would show up more as engine running hot and missing, low radiator level etc. Keep an eye on the dipstick for milky looking oil and overfull too. Probably just the condensation from the air hopefully. Oil and filter should be changed more often in these cases of high humidity areas and very little driving done. Might be a good idea to have it changed again just to see if there is any more coolant leaking into it, just to be on the safe side.
I live in CT. The rain fall was intence last year! I have a new engine that had the same problem but as soon as the rain dried out it went away!!
