    They might.

Here is the real key to having a classic car and not being screwed on insurance: CLASSIC CAR INSURANCE

If you have normal, everyday, every driver insurance.....you have to play by those rules.

Well I ask my insurance about that and they said it had to be "restored" before I could get it on my car, so I was gonna get it after I got a paint job, but its his company insurance that is gonna pay for it

Besides the bucket and sheet metal on the corner was anything else hurt? If that's all the damage is then you might get lucky and it be repaired and the bucket replaced

It scratched/ small dent on top of the panel and more scratches on the trunk and extension piece but the pick shows the worst of it

If you're planning on painting it already out of your pocket you could always talk with his insurance about just getting the dents fixed and the bucket replaced. Save them some money on repaira and possibly keep it from being "totaled"

Definitely go through the other guys insurance. In many cases they will just cut you a check for the damage. Get some estimates on your own, assuming the car is drivable?
Make sure you ask for extra money to cover a rental car, while yours is in the shop.
Rule of thumb in the insurance industry, 75-80% of the Actual Cash Value of the car is the limit for repairs. Have some 'comps' handy (comparable advertisements for Mavericks).

I have family in Dardanelle. You guys are almost into Chigger season, LOL. Dang, those things are awful.

I would consider that BAD news....just means they think your car is worth nothing.

Not really cause I don't have to fight their insurance about blue book value on my car & totaling it then getting a salvaged title, and the trucking company just cut me a $2500 check

    That sounds fair.

If their insurance is like ours, the deductible is around 10K for the company. You both may have made out ok.
