On the History Channel today? On the Modern Marvels show today - the episode called "Assembly Lines" - About 45 minutes into the show, they had a segment about US car manufacturing quality of the early 70's vs the Japanese manufacturers. There was a bunch of film footage of a Ford assembly plant making Mavericks! Rows and rows of Mavericks, a great shot of a Grabber (looked like it had a spoiler) rear as the car was driven off the line, lots of shots of the bodys and frames being welded up. Bad thing is, it was all with commentary about how shoddy Detroit iron was in the early 70's. Very cool to see none the less. here is the best part - it is on again tonight at 7:00 EASTERN (Another cool part, is watch how the Model T Fords get painted! Like a garden hose sprayer!)
Yes - today like so much of the cable channels programming, what is on during the day gets repeated at night - 7 o'clock EASTERN - History Channel
