I'm gathering parts to install electric power steering. It's gonna be awhile before I get to pull the steering column out and it was quite a few years ago since I had it out. I need to figure out what diameter couplings I'll need and will they be D or double D. I just don't remember anymore. It looks like the power steering unit will need to go just past where the column bolts to the dash with the motor probably going behind the radio. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks! Are you still using a rag joint Or does the u-joint mate to a steering rack?
Looks, too, like you have the truck bearing in the end of the column?

This is bearing that will work for our Mav/Comet........

I would definitely recommend this conversation, even if you are staying with stock steering/box, much better feel/response at the steering wheel, U-joint/bearing makes a more solid connection........
A definite must if you are converting over to rack, plus it makes for a much cleaner look! :)
