Can anyone tell me what M/C I should use with the Granada brake swap. I know Granada but will others work better because of port sizes ? I call around and I find M/C's for power systems but not for manual. I will be using a porportioning valve on the rear line. Thanks Rick

Simplest would probably be a master cylinder for a '75 up Maverick with disc brakes. I'm using a '96 Explorer part for mine because I have four discs and I decided to use one for a 4-disc application. '91ish Ranger/Explorer is another one that fits, and it's for disc/drum. I've run all three of these and they all work fine.

Has anyone used a power MC for their manual brakes ? The only thing different is the port sizes ( by that I mean thread size) and that I was told was so there was no mistake at the factory. If I see this right you only need to look at bore size and rod length ? :hmmm: :hmmm: Rick

I used one from a '91 Dodge Dakota. Had to file the mount holes a bit, but fit nice, and works great. Looks better and frees up a little space.

If you use a 75 and up M/C make sure you save the pedal rod, I went though all the years trying to get the right one they where all to long... You will have to shorten it or do as I did and buy an adjustable one....

I will have to get you a couple. In this pic, you can see the m/c, but not how it mounts, etc. I'll get some today and send them along.

Earl, You did say that MC came from a dakota ? I look at rockauto and all the 91 Dakotas have 2 caps ? What rod did you use ? Can the rod fall out ? If not did you have to put a stop in for your pedal ? Hope your OK with a few questions, Oh and is that steel tubing or that newer flexable tubing ? Thank you VERY much for your input Rick
