dizzy install

    so i got my roller dizzy at autozone today. 1985 mustamg GT w/ manual transmission. when ordering one of the questions they ask is what gear you want on it. steel or cast iron. i went with steel since its a roller motor. i bought a new cap and rotor. i reused the blue part off the other dizzy. the new one didnt come with it

    anyway. i have the timing marks already lined up on the engine. from there how should i position the diddy to drop in? obviously im not looking for perfect timing but i want it to fire up lol.

    With cylinder 1 on TDC on the compression stroke ... install dizzy so cylinder 1 is firing.

    1970 maverick 5.0 t 5 trans 59 ford rear with 4.11 cogs
    aim the rotor at #1 on the cap , make sure you have the correct firing order as there are two different ones.

    ok thats what i thought ;)

    im guessing the #1 stamped on the cap is the #1 plug?

    You may want to point it a little before the #1 cause when it drops in it moves to #1.

    I take it it's an e 303 cam? good cam plenty of mid range...
