I have seen plenty of Mavericks and Comets with 302's in them, but I have yet to see one with headers. Do they just not fit, or is it a coincidence that I haven't seen any?

Tons of info about getting headers to fit. Just search for "headers".

Mine has headers. Was installed when I purchased the car last year. It is possible. If you do a search you will find many people who have done the install and what vendor has the easiest install.

If you buy headers for a 302 maverick.

I think there are more members here with headers than not. Got to get out and look. Could also be that with these cars, headers are NOT easy. First thing I did was cut my shock towers after dealing with headers in a 67 big block Stang in the 80's. This makes life so much easier in dealing with headers in these cars.

i think there are many variations you need to look at. manual vs power steering, automatic vs manual.. etc. i couldn't get my headers to work with power steering the arm hit the header tube.

You need the power steering drop bracket. I've got one I was fixin to toss into the scrap bucket if you want it.
