Do the air/fuel ratio seem a little rich? Jets are 72P 80S

No but it should put the Mav into low-mid 11.00 territory on Pump gas!
I have thought about a 100 shot or a roots style blower as an add on!
9.5 to 1 is a little high for those isn't it?

Is the picture in your avatar the car with this motor? I wouldn't expect tires to lift with those numbers. If so, I may not have to build that 393...

Same car with a mild 306...this engine is a lot more! Lot's of cam and converter!

Richard I'd say your carb jetting is a good baseline to start with,,,do some plug reading at that first T-n-T and make adjustments from there.
At that compression ratio you should be safe for a 100 shot. Depending on your rotating assembly (forged or not) particularly the pistons I wouldn't hit it with anymore than that.
I think that 100 shot is gonna give you a lotta bang for the buck vs. the cost of a blower.
    Good Luck with it.

    Thanks,
I will stay NA for now to get it track tuned and may make changes after that. The chassis is going for the backhalf next week and will have to be setup also! Can't wait till April...a long winter ahead:(
