i was going to put e7te heads on 1979 302 what would i have to change for these to bolt on just right and i would have an aftermarket camshaft but not too big
I have them on my 73 302, the only issue I had was push rod length. The stock rods were too short. Plus don't forget to plug the egr holes in each end of the heads.
I used the E7TE rocker arms, they are pedestal mount, so without some machine work, you don't have a choice.
will the pedestal rockers work just without any harm to the engine. and how do you know your push rods are the right length like how do you measure them
The pedestal rockers will work just fine, it's just a different style mount. I read a lot about the swap before I did it (on the net), and found different info regarding the push rods, I tried it with the stock rods, but found it was noisy, since then I've tried a few different sets, to find one I happy with. The only real way to check them, is with a push rod length tool. Have a look over on www.fordmuscle.com there is a link on how to make one.
will the original 302 headers fit the e7te heads with no problem. And i was wondering if i bought e7te heads without any rocker arms could u find on summit everything i would need to buy to put pedestal rocker arms on
