i just put a 302 engine in the car it has a holley 600 cfm carburetor and a c4 tranny. It runs good on idle but it wants to die when i put it in gear is it my vacuum or carb adjustments or something else ?
does your dist. have a vacum advance or mechanical?when in park does it rev up good?check all vacum lines good could be a tiny crack in one also check the timing.
What is in the engine? is it stock or does it have an aftermarket cam? What is the idle speed? Have you adjusted the idle mixture and speed in gear or in Park?
