does anyone know where I can find an engine mounted oil pressure gauge? ... ive seen some on other peoples cars and underhood pics on here, but cant seem to find anything out there..... it would just screw into the side of the timing cover i believe...

It has to screw into the same place as your oil pressure sender.
You can get a gauge from most auto parts stores and they come with a pipe thread on them. I bought mine at an instrument supply house locally for under $10.

It is the smaller, lower, black faced gauge by the filter and fuel-oil pressure switch.

Another clean option incase you don't want gauges cluttering up your factory looking interior, or gauges in hard to read spots on the engine is to mount a 3 gauge holder (one of those cheap ones from autozone, basically an "under dash gauge holder") inside engine compartment and run say a oil pressure gauge, volt gauge, and vaccum gauge to it. Keeps all the engine info you need handy, without gauges in the car.

I see this every once in a while at car shows, I always liked this setup.

I don't mean to be confrontational, but what gud are gauges under the hood? I wud want to keep track of my engines functions in real time - not after my oil pressure and/or engine coolant went south and took the engine with it. If I did that I wud surely also keep my idiot lights functional or just forget the gauges and go w/ factory idiot lights.

I like gauges under hood in my race car, sometimes your out front for a spell and nice to keep track of whats going on, Tach is real helpful!
I do have gauges in dash, most important place!

this is a pic of exactly what im talking about.... would any pressure gauge work as long as the threads fit?

Yes, as long as the threads match and the gauge reads 50% - 100% higher than your maximum pressure it will work fine.
