factory column shift linkage Question??

    i have a 72 grabber with headers and floor shifter and kinda want to put it back on the column.i found a guy who has a 4 dr 71 or 72 not sure which and it is a factory 302 car i need to know does the linkage fit all 302 s im not sure what model mine is i think its a 77 model 302 with a c-4 tranny ,i was trying to remember does the linkage slide in a hole somewhere on the side of the block or tranny bellhousing? pics or input would be helpful thanks guys

    A stud screws into the block and the linkage slides onto it. I have a complete unit if you need it.

    do all 302 blocks have aplace on the block to mount this linkage cause im not sure where on the block to look for this

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    Blocks up to approx early '80s have the threaded boss on lower left side of block close to rear, if the engine is a late model it isn't there...
