    Looks like a good start.

First and foremost before you do anything: I would check out all the mechanicals. You really need to drive this car on a regular basis and make sure everything checks out. Motor, tranny, brakes, steering, suspension, etc. I would recommend driving the car a lot and worry about getting it painted next summer.

I'd give it a good cleaning and polish. A lot of the rust stains will come off that white paint with some compound. Like the guys said drive it and get the mechanical stuff sorted out first. The car will look fine once its cleaned up(rust stains).

Thats normal. My car was stripped to metal without so much as a pinhole found except the battery tray. No way it can stand up to years of acid. Its an easy fix and a good one to practice your welding skills on. Even if you screw it up you cant see it for the batt. anyhow.:)(y)

Back seat bottom...push toward the trunk and down at the same time and pull up
Back seat back...2 bolts at the bottom then pull up
Front seat...4 bolts under the floor pan. Disconnect seatbelt wires under the seat. Best to have an extra pair of hands getting it out of the car.

just got the new seats in the car but my brother and i kinda ripped the seat belts back through the original front seat but got them through the new one easy.
the coolest thing happened though, while i was unbolting the front seats a guy in a stingray pulled up in front of my house. turns out he had restored his vette and put a brand spanking new 350 in it. anyways, he was really impressed with my car and told a bunch of stuff i should do to clean it up. and he only lives a little bit up the street and he said to come by when i get plates on the car.

another guy who was visiting my neighbors across the street came over and told he drove a 73 in high school.

and then my next door neighbor came over and told that he rebuilt a mustang as his first car and thought it was really cool that i had gotten a classic car.
