Well last night was the first night at the track. ran a 12.1 and had a little bit of a traction issue . the last pass it hooked a little hard and blew my t5 all over the place lol. which i figured would happen. damn junk t-5s i shouldnt have waisted my time. tremec it is. anyways my question is this. has anyone on here put a 9 inch with ladder bars under there car yet? how much did y ou have to shorten the 9 inch? and will my 4:11 middle section fit in a 9 inch or do i have to buy new gears? or center section and gears? any help woudl be great. i figure i mias well fix the weak points all and once instead of breaking something every time i go to the track..

If you get that figured out, might want to put a patent on your findings. :)

so what ya got under the hood?

i think the only middle section and gears that will fit a 9'' are from a 9''

8" rear stuff only fits 8s,you'll have to start all over w/a 9".You must have a he// of a motor,I've seen stock T5s go deep 11's...

its just a cast headed mild 347. nothing special.
but im thinking the tranny was a little weak. i got it from ebay. one of those i think it works deals. flat tops 10.5 -1 performer rmp 750 double pumper, its a tripple xxx block . roller block. trick flow stage 2 cam. bee hive springs. it just runs good. and my car only weight 2800 lbs. as does most of your. i can with no interier just a seat and carpet.

You can use the mini spool in the 9" they are the same. You can also use the same axels if you have the 9" shortened to the same length as the 8". But thats about it for the interchange.

    Getting at? :hmmm:

By looking at the whole time slip we could see what the car was doing at different parts of the run and therefore get a better Idea of how the car was performing up until the point that the transmission failed.

Usually when when someone posts results of a trip to the track they will elaborate a little more on the run they made like 60ft., 330 ft. , trap speed ect. ( by the way alot of times they will post a pic of the slip.)
