I added Bobcat lights and even installed the center lights, well now my turn signals flash to fast. Before you think this is easy let me say I've tryed 4 different HEAVY DUTY flashers. I tryed the new electronic type and still to fast, now I have the old style which is longer then the original and still to fast. I remember when I would pull a trailer years ago all I needed was the longer one. I know some electrical guru out there has a answer. Thanks Rick

Try eliminating bulbs one at a time..

Use an electronic flasher instead of the thermal flasher

I'm using the same style blubs, 1157 or 56,what ever is the single filament. I used old mav parts and bought replacement blub holders for Mavericks and just wired them in tandem with the other lights. Are any of these electronic type adjustable. Thanks again

Why single filament? Are the new holders grounded?

My mistake, their double filament and there grounded. I'm going to take another look at my wiring.

I went out and pulled each extra bulb and it would slow down, so I checked and they were 1157ST's what ever that means. So I found 2 1157S3a's and put them in. Now the right turn signal flashes perfect but the left is still fast ? :hmmm:

Just a reminder, putting more lamps in the circuit is really taxing your turn signal switch! I would try to get some led lamps that use far less current!
Also, as was previously said, the electronic flasher is the best. It will work well for both the incandescent and led lamps.
Just remember that this type flasher will not warn you of a lamp out condition by flashing faster! :)

I just tryed again and the fronts are the same as the rears. Now when I pull the drivers side original out of the holder it still flashes and at the same rate as the pass side ( the right speed ). But as soon as I hold it against the holder so its grounded it starts to flash to fast again. I think this is why I was a pipefitter and not an electrican. Should these lights even work when you pull the socket with bulb out of the holder ? Thanks Rick

Depends how they are grounded.. It is almost sounding like maybe the bulb is not being inserted with the tiny prongs in the correct grooves or a bad ground..

More bulbs in the circuit will have an effect on the amp draw, which will have a effect on the older style flashers. Run down to the truck stop, and see if you can find an electronic flasher.

Although this is true he has good flashing on one side so the other should work also.
Did you remove the bulb on the front that is too fast to see what happens?

In his original post he said he's already tried an electronic flasher.
