I got in to go to work the other day and it had rained the night before and the front floor boards of my car had sitting water, as I was driving to work it started rainning again and water started streaming out from under my dash! Does anyone know what is going on? Any help would be greaty apriciated.

two words: cowl vents. they are probably rusted out and the water just pours in onto the floor. if it's that much water, I'm sure that's what it is. A leaky windshield gasket can leak water in there too, but it would not pour in like that.

Sounds like you have a case of the common cowl vent syndrome. The Maverick is very prone to this happening from years of leaves and trash building up in the cowl vent louvers. They rust out and let the water drain onto the floor. Many past posts on this project, no easy fix for the average guy. Could tape off the louvers before it rains and then remove it when sun comes out. Not sure why Ford designed them that way but cannot be accessed from under the dash for repairs that I know of. Search the archives for more on this horrible mess.

I have a couple of picture "articles" with comments on making this repair on my site. It is not easy or fun. I had to remove the hood, fenders, windshield and dash and then drill out approximately 90 spot welds...weld in a repair patch...treat the area to prevent rust..and then weld the top of the cowl back on.
You could probably get by with just removing the dash and making the repair from the inside, but it is questionable how long this would last.
