floor shifter tech needed

    i want to install the original, <auto> floor shifter in my car but im not sure how too cut the hole in the floor, does anybody have there car gutted to send me a pic, on how i should cut the floor thx mike

    if your car is 71 or newer i think there is a template on the hump isnt there? a line where they would have cut it for a floor shifter option or something. i think early mavs dont have that. mike

    My 77 did not have any outline, but it did have the two dimples. I centered my opening on the two dimples (they were not as far apart as the hole needed to be lengthwise) and the shifter linkaged hooked up perfectly. My shifter is a stock floor shift out of a certain 74 Comet. ;)
