I was looking behind my rear bumper and notice that someone stuffed a foam ball up and behind it.. But when I looked further, I see more foam. I also know there is similar foam under my dash. I can understand under the dash but behind the rear bumper. Is this something someone did for some reason or is it factory? Sorry pics are not that great.

I have never seen foam stuffed into locations like that.

ive seen body shops do that on rear corner pieces ( the plastic ) when they look like they are caving in to push them in place but takes about it

Not factory...Probably done to quell vibrations/noise intrusion (Poorly done) or to stop a leak in the case of the under dash stuff.

That is what I kind of thought. I guess I will take it out from the bumper and leave the dash one until it gets in my way :)
