does anyone know or have the shop manuals in PDF or book format. Ive been looking around to find one but all i could turn up was the tranny techbooks for my 77 maverick. Picked my car up today and want to start to get my hands dirty. I've never worked on anything without some sort of manual, though I'm sure i can do it but would rather have it in my hands before riping into anything. thanks in advance.
They use to be all over Ebay, for cheap. I doubt anyone could send you a PDF, Ford service manuals are @ 1000 pages...

Chilton Manuals cover most years Mavericks and Comets. I like these as I can take them out to the car with me. They show up on ebay a lot or ask in the wanted section here.
Do u have one of these CD's? If so -How is the picture quality and quality in general? I need to get something. I been just mostly workin on a figur it out basis, help frm questions on this forum.
i have the master parts catalog both for cars and trucks - the quality is really good, you can actually work with the pictures.
I bought a pdf shop manual online. It has some type of copy write protection requiring special software to be installed first. Shortly after getting it all setup I reformatted my computer and had to call and get a new activation code. A few months later I move the pdf file to an external drive and it killed the program again. About half of the pictures in the pdf looked to be scanned with a Xerox machine…only black and white with no shades of gray…they looked like ink spots. The security setting were set so tight on the pdf that the ‘Print Screen’ key didn’t work and they only way to print out a page the printer had to be connected to that computer. My home network printer (that uses cheap ink) wouldn’t print the page. Come to think about it the only printer it would print to was my photo printer and not my ‘All-n-One’ printer that is the default printer.
I like the Ford factory repair manuals in hard copy. Think I paid about $60 about 18 months ago for the 1972 five volumn set. I'd be lost without them. Expect you'll find a set for your year if you keep watching for them. Try ebaymotors and this and other Ford forums.
I ordered a CD from the following link: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/1965-Master-Parts-Accessory-Catalog/dp/0967321115/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1281379877&sr=8-2"]Amazon.com: 1965/1972 Ford Car Master Parts and Accessory Catalog (9780967321110): Ford Motor…[/ame] I got the 1973 and up version. I was fowarded this link by Tody a member of this board. I figured for $25.00 incl. shipping I wud give it a try. I will let u know my thoughts on it once I get it and have a chance to review it. Whatever I get is better than what I have now.
Try this. Hi: Try this link. http://www.maverick73.com.br/eng-downloads.php You can find all the Shop Manual there. The problem, all the shop manual is on portuguese. Yeah.
Find a set of the original Ford shop manuals. I always find a set for any car/truck I have and try and keep them. I have a 72 F100 set, 76 F150 set and a Ford car set that is kind of generic for Ford cars but not model specific They are very detailed clint
I went and got a Chilton's repair manual. Figured for $14.95 plus shipping cant go wrong.
