Went to a car show today. Was walking around looking at cars, when I heard a thunderous car, going thru the parking lot. The first glance I got of the car shocked me. Had to run up to him, before he left. Introduced myself & told him to come on down. He said he had to take his Dad home, he'd be right back. He kept his word. His name is Pat. We had a nice long chat about Mavericks/Comets. He got his Maverick for $650.00. There's still some good deals, in the NorthWest. He had never seen a Comet (in person), until he saw mine. He's very interested in the forum & the MCCI. Hopefully he'll be on here soon. I'll let him give you all the particulars. All I have to say is, very nice job on the engine (347 stroker). Here are some pics. Enjoy!
nice looking car. is it my imagination or does the white paint on the rear make it look like it's wider (up & down)?
If you look closley you can notice that it dosent have the recessed area around the taillights, almost like he put in a perfectly flat piece of metal.
I think the white is hiding the lines. I'd bet its a stock panel. Nice car. Comet GT stripes look good.
Pat asked me if the rear panel was stock. It's not. Someone put a brushed aluminum panel on it. Did a good job. The trunk key lock is a 1/2 inch inside the panel. I'll try to get pics with a closeup shot, the next time I see him.
I was thinking the same thing but I saved the image and zoomed in on it. If the lines are there, they are certainly hiding. I even inverted the colors and they still don't show up. edit: so that explains it
