Does anyone know if the front brake pads are the same size on a 6 cylinder four lug drum brake set up to a v-8 five lug brake set up?
The reason I ask is becasue I have a five lug set of drums on spindles and wish to convert a four lug to a five lug drum set up untill I go with Disc's
Will I be able to just swap the drums or do I need to swap drum spindles as well?
Please advise if anyone knows :hmmm:
    Thank you, George

If you got the 5-lug setup from a Maverick, Comet, or 70 Mustang the spindles are the same and you can install the drums right on to the original spindles. Brake shoes are different between them, 4-lug=9" shoes, 5-lug =10" shoes.
