Only place I can think of would be Performance Suspension on 35th ave North of thomas. Probably only have the Urethane ones there. Would have to ask for Mustang Isolators or they might not know the difference.

Even at even at $15 to ship its only $25 total which isnt bad at all for such a hard to get part. And i'd rather have the rubber one, less likely to squeak.

I would do rubber. less sqeaak and road noise vibrations transferred to the car. This is a street car/cruiser. keep it fun to drive.

just pulled the trigger on the rubber ones from cj's.. thanks again guys..

I'm using the internal 4 J hook style compressor on the springs.. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but its a PITA.. has anyone used the 2 J hook and plate style that say oriellys/autozone/pepboys loan out?

The 2 hook and plate might be better. I never used a 4 hook. I can see in my mind a 4 hook running out of threads before the spring compressed.

When I did my springs long ago I borrowed a 4 hook from Autozone. Tried it with the nut in the screw pointing up and the threaded rod would hit the perch before compressing enough. So I cut the rod shorter. Still couldnt get enough compression. Only way I could do it was to put the hex nut on the bottom and let the threaded rod pount up. had to wrench it through the coils and get it the hooks as high and low as possible.

Same thing here...even upsidedown...nut on the bottom... I can't get enough compression to before the two ends meet.. Or also the nut hits the saddle.. I got one spring off, its four coils shorter than the new ones.

I think I "borrowed" both types of spring compressors from AutoZone. Had to use the external ones to compress the springs far enough to allow the internal one to grab enough coils to take the tension off the a-frame. I may have already had the wheels and drums off so couldn't get the weight of the car on the springs. Might have been able to use just the internal one if I put the compressor in place before jacking the car up.

The plate on top of the shock tower did mess up the paint.
