The fuel sender for my maverick is coated in black sludge and has problems, the gas gauge will only tell you if it's full or empty Anyone have one for sell or know where you can buy them (other than ebay)?
I sent Jamie the link to the Autokrafters sending unit page. Did he not get it or were you hoping for something a little cheaper?
I'm not sure what Tylar wants to pay, but I know he is running out of money pretty quick and we still don't have insurance or plates. That should be solved VERY soon though. The cheaper the better. The car is ready to go out and hit the road right now, but the main problem is you can't tell how much gas you got! :16suspect
Tomorrow is payday!:bananaman Was just wondering if anyone had one for cheaper. Though still no insurance
Not quite sure I can part with it yet until I figure out what I'm doing with my 74, but I pulled my tank last weekend and plan to swith it out for a mustang tank. I'm in Duluth as well so shipping is cheap! I'll let you know.
You can often find good ones at the junkyard (if there are any Mavericks there). I got mine for 2 dollars and a new gasket from the Ford dealer for another 2 dollars. Works great...
Heck zoojon, if your in Duluth I could just come pick it up quicker. Duluth is just a hop and a skip away. I can't believe how many Mavericks are in Gwinnett, and I have only ever seen one driveing around in 5 years of living here. It was a big bumpered 4 door Comet sitting at a gas station a couple of years ago.
Hey Terry, thanks for the link. Looks like they may have what we need. I'm going to try to check it out tomarrow. zoojon, lemme know. The car is gonna be makeing about a 200 mile round trip to North Carolina and back this weekend. Sure would be nice to have a working gas gauge.
