hi, on my 74 comet. I am getting cavitation issues , fuel starvation when my fuel tank gets below 1/2 tank.

any efi tanks out there yet? I am looking at ricks tanks to get one fabricated...
any other vehicle tanks that would work?

    thanks

71gold has efi and a custom tank w/ sump. Haven't heard of him having any issue as I recall.

You need a sump. Mine does the same thing. I am going to modify the tank when time allows. Frank's modification looks good. Check it out.

    Theirs 3 solid options

    Most expensive
vaporworx tank witg flowworx mod and pressureworx(or was it flowworks) controller via ricks tanks
    no filters nor fpr needed

    Option 2
    Ebay ss stang tank
    Aeromotive 340 phantom kit
    aeromotive voltage pump regulator
    pre and post filter

    Option 3 cheapest, most power
    spectra tank
    fuelab intank power module
    Fuelab electronic FPR
    holley hydromat
    pre and post filter

Ps sumps will usualy still have issues with gforced like i autox and low fuel.
3 options ive listed above will work well at 1 gallon and on/off track

Are you running an external pump? If so you could put a small reservoir before the pump. That's what JTR recommends in their efi swap book.

thanks, but...help me understand... is there a ring inside the tank with threaded holes? if so, how do you get it inside? it looks to be larger than the hole in the tank. maybe I'm overthinking this.

My VDO sender came with a threaded ring that had a notch that allowed it to be installed through the hole in the tank. I used one screw to hold the plate in place so you can start the others after dropping the assembly through the hole.
