I keep reading the cool tech article on the fuse panel update, and was digging around the garage and found I had one of these: Since I am not very adept at the electrical stuff, I am not sure I understand why there is only 1 blade per fuse, would something like this work for replacing the current glass fuse block? Seems like I would have an awful lot of wires going into a single plug for a few of them.....
a power wire goes into the post with a nut on it. then power is split and runs threw the fuse and into what ever electrical device you have. the fuse block you found is too small to run more than around 8 things and therefor should be considered an add on and not a replacement.
Look at it like water. As ptdub said, the water goes in thru the screw. Then it is piped out thru the 6 connectors (3 per side). The fuses are inline, just like a shut off valve. The other electrical wire your worrying about is at the device (radio, fan....) it would be the ground wire.
Just to note, not all the fuses on our Mav's have "power" on one side of the fuse. Several are wired "in-line" style and although they get their power through one side, it's from a source other than a common post.
Guess I wasn't clear. Not all the fuses get their power from a common buss. Case in point: check your dash illumination circuit (blue/red) fuse, yes it has power on one side but it gets that power from the light switch, not a common buss.
this is how we upgraded... http://www.ronfrancis.com/prodinfo.asp?number=XP%2D67 with a set of these custom gauges... http://www.dakotadigital.com/index....ategory_id=69/home_id=59/mode=prod/prd224.htm ......
