Cool beans...but at $3.00+ per gallon, you still probably spent about 2 grand on gas, huh?
I really wanna convert my toploader over to a 5 or 6 speed in the near future. :burnout: Should be much more pleasant to drive. What am I sayin??? Hot rods ain't s'pose to drive pleasant, are they?

if you drove it somewhere besides up on and off a trailer it would be more pleasant now. :boxing: :hmmm: if a 4-speed is "unpleasant" to drive then how could a 5-6 speed be better? ..change the rear gear...
i don't understand why people spend the time and money to build a car they can't :drive: . :slap:

i stopped coming back from Jax-ville to get gas, a guy inside the store said "thats the best looking maverick i have seen in a while". then he asked "may i go out and look at it?"
the guy running the store left the counter and came outside with him. i opened the hood and showed them the motor and the guy running the place aske me to waite a min. and he went back and got his camara and took pics. of the first guy and my car.
at the same time there were 3-4 people waiting at the counter to be checked out. they were even looking like it was something "SPECIAL"
that's why i :drive: mine..."what color you going to paint it comments and all."

There is nothing more entertaining than watching two geezers squabble at each other.

Well, gorgeous babes mud wrestling might be more entertaining.

Great to hear Frank! I`d Love to put a Gear Venders Overdrive in my car, bolted to the back of my Fully manual C-4 .... but first I need to win the lottery.

I did check my mileage on the trip to the show at AMS and I got right at 15 m.p.g.:bouncy:

No big deal though... I didn`t set out to build my car to be an interstate cruiser anyhow.:burnout:

I'm with Mike. I'd like to put a Gear Vendors behind my T-10...that is currently sitting in my collection of parts for the day they become a Maverick.

I'd say that is very good mileage, do'nt know what all you have in new motor with some hopup goodies i'd still say thats good. Going to get exhaust on the blue car tomorrow then hopefully will see how the AOD works in it. had to move collecters out about 3'' to get AOD up in so have to have new pipes back to mufflers.

I have a buddy who insists on haveing Overdrive in everything he owns.

The general rule based on his installations and everyone else we have spoken to about it is:

You will gain around 4 miles per gallon
from installing an overdrive in a V-8
    powered car.
