So this will be my first pass down the strip in any car and the first 1/4 mile pass the Mav has made.

I made an abbreviated test with my Gtech Pro and looks like i should be around a 13 sec 1/4.

    Gtech data was

    60' 2.31
    0-60 5.1
    330' 6.03 @65mph
    660' 9.03 @89 mph

Might pick up some if it hooks better at the track.

    Ill keep ya posted.

Never works out as good as the guesses, programs, and estimates say it should.

But still, have fun out there, and be safe! (y)

you should have a better 60' with that motor..i had a 1.8 60' (im pretty sure was 1.8)which i was spinning on street tires and seems you may have a nicer motor than me.
whats done to the trans..? 5 speed..or auto with a stall?

Ya I got a Gforce 5 Speed, 3.70 gears, but im running the skinny E70/14 bias ply tires, so my traction is quite limited. I need to practice some starts, no doubt! Id be happy to be closer to 2.0 60ft.

The engine should be good for mid 11's, I think it will be pointless trying to run on a small street tire with a 5spd. I would get some 26x8.5 slicks and mount them on stock wheels with hubcabs if you're after the sleeper effect.

Yes, good for 11s, but not on those tires.

You will think your transmission is slipping. I have done it. Tires were spinning so bad, I thought I toasted my transmission.

Did 40 mph in the 1/8th!!!

I agree with you guys, get it to hook and it should run an 11.86. Clutch management, feather it off the line then let it eat.

Nice motor! Yeah if you had drag tires it would be mid to low 11's in the quarter. But with those tires I predict 12.90 @ 114 mph. Just guessing! Good luck, can't wait to see how you do. Did you mention what your car weighs?

Edit: just thinking with those gears you're probably not going to get low 11's but probably mid 11's.

LOL goodjob :) I think everyone makes mistakes the first couple Times out due to lack of knowledge and nervousness.. Luckily I had cliff; grabber71 go through everything with me so all I did was have a little bit slow reaction time.

The key is just to have fun an be safe.. It it gets swirly- get out of it, it will most likely get worse then before you know it something has happened.
