This morning I pulled the instrument cluster and found the copper part of the printed circuit board contacts were loose and misformed where the gang plug connects. I used 3M clear cement and a popsicle stick to apply sealant to the back sides of the copper fingers and the palstic circuit board. Next, I pressed them down with the stick and allowed them to dry. When they were dry, I used a point file to shine the contacts. When I plugged the gang plug in my dash lights worked. The next problem was the plastic ring that snaps the speedo cable to the speedo head was broken. I coated the male speedo plug with Plumbers Goop and pushed the speedo cable on to the speedo head. It took two tries but now the speedo works and when the Goop dries it will be a tight fix. Texasjack
just another tip. when you clean the copper use an eraser it wont remove any of the copper just contaminants. but i never thought about trying glue to hold them in place. thanks thomas
