    Yes. dated 1970. also got another 9 inch thats not a posi or an N case with it.

    so the case has a N on the front of it in between the webbing ?

    Posi never came in a 9" Ford. Posi is a GM rear end. Ford had Traction-Loc and Equa-Loc.

    And i got it for rougly 100 bucks. also got a second 9 inch with a c7wa (i think) case for 20 bucks.

    Great deal. I haven't seen an N case at a swap meet in about 5 years and I think it was about $3-350 then.:thumbs2:

    Lots of difference between positive traction and posi traction. You wouldn't call a Holley 4 Bbl a Quadrajet just because it also has 4 Bbl too. It's like calling a Maverick a Vega.

    I'm very grateful to the guy i got it from. he sold me some ported 1968 302 heads. i just have some stock 78 heads and the valves on these 68's are huge in comparison, a 4 speed the 2 third members and a 9 inch casing for 400 bucks. we were talking about the price and he just said "everyone needs a little help with their projects" and gave me that great deal. So to him I'm quite thankful.

    but, "Posi" traction stands for Positive traction.

    well no joke.... but when both rear wheels spin most ppl call it "posi" or "positive traction"


    pretty much, but try not to get technical with him :rofl2:
