Got them in a couple weeks ago. Found them on eBay for $60 plus shipping. Good and black to match my Grabber interior. Took a long time to figure out how I wanted to mount them, until I borrow some bucket rails from Mr. Doug Bauer. I put the Mav rails next to the Talon rails that were still attached to the seats, then lined them up roughly in the middle, as the Mav rails are about 5 inches shorter than the Talon rails. I then drilled holes in the Talon rails equal to the Mav bolt holes, ran the rails to either side and installed new Grade 5 bolts in all four locations of each seat. The driver's side was first, and the outer rail fit right into the factory holes in the floor for the Mav bench seat.

Here was the best part. I used 3/8 inch black pipe fittings from Lowes to create my inner spacers. After looking at the factory Mav rail spacers, one is long and skinny but on the rear of the seat rail. The front spacer is just a standoff. I swapped it around. The rear inners for each seat are 3/8 to 1/2 inch reducers with one large washer on top for surface area to the rail. The front spacers consist of one 1/2-1/2-3/8 Tee to a 3/8 90, which gave me some front to back support when accelerating and braking. There is also a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer on top that I used to adjust the height by screwing the fitting out of the Tee. A large washer on top of that, drill a hole through the floor, making sure there was nothing underneath that I might drill through by accident. I was actually able to use the factory Talon holes on the inner rails, both front and rear. Once I got the driver's side seat in I had to drive it back to Lowe's with only three bolts holding it so that I could get some shorter bolts for the outer rails. No passenger seat at this point, and actually thought about leaving the passenger seat out once I really started looking at the extra space I could gain without it in there. Installed it anyway using the same method as the driver's side, but it took even less time.

Took about 2 1/2 hours total, with the second trip to Lowe's in the rain. Looks great, and man it sure makes all the difference in the world over the bench, and over the factory Mav buckets I had in another Maverick. Might look into doing the rear seat as well...like the idea of having the fold down seat in the rear!!

Will try to get some pics of everything when I get a chance. Easy upgrade!

These are the best pictures I have currently. I'll have to get some better ones once I get home. Sorry.

Also, these are some really old pictures. They were taken not too long after I put the seats in the car. You'll note the floor shifter. The car has since received a T5.

I wrote this post right after doing the swap. Do a search for "T5 Installed with hydrolic clutch setup". As for the drive shaft, I had one built and balanced using the Mustang drive shaft ends. The shop I had the work done at put two u-joints together for the rear joint to match the 8" rear. The stock Maverick shaft does work but it's too small for the HP and torque. That and the yolk is about an inch shorter than the Mustang's. I wanted as much yolk inside the tranny tailhousing as I could get. Worked out great! :thumbs2:

That looks really cool. Do all Talon have the same seats? They look like the seats that come in the new performance cars. You also have a nice interior. I should have went with a hydrolic clutch setup too. Cable & power brakes are kicking my a-- but i'm close to finishing.

I'm not sure. They are very comfortable though unless you have a wide butt. Then they might not be. They definitely keep you in the seat during cornering. :thumbs2:

Thanks. I still plan to recover all three seats so that they all match. I just haven't figured out how I want to finish it. I also have to finish my center console one day. Close to finishing myself. It's a great little car! (y)

They should be in the Eagle Talon also. All three are the same design. I forgot about that.
