    Hi Guys!

It's been awhile since I've posted here, mainly because I SOLD my 74 Maverick last month. I had got the new engine installed and running, but the tranny was messed up. Due to being layed off from work, and rising credit card bills, I had to sell my baby. Didn't get crap for it, but it payed off my credit card anyway. I DO however, plan on getting another one in the future. I just love these cars and I have the "bug" now more than ever! Thanks guys for all your help and I'll let y'all know when I find another one! Cheers!

    Andrew

Sorry to hear that, but you gotta do what is best for you. Stick around, I'm sure you've made many friends on here. There'll be more Mavericks in the future.:)

Life does stuff like that sometimes to you. Hope another Maverick is in your future soon and a brighter day will come for you.

Sad to hear but you gotta do what you need to do, when things get better buy another then you can do all those things that you didn't do the first time around and make it perfect and the way you want it.

Yeah I feel you on that one. Just as things with my project were rolling along I just got cut back to part time! But then they added another job on top of it. So I certainly feel what your going through. You'll find another Maverick in the future.

The way the economy is going many of us will be in the same boat, so don't go anywhere, keep in touch with the club and when things get better help will be there for you.

    Andrew

    What is your profession?

The reason for asking is the Fort Worth, Texas area is booming.

A lot of industry and the gas well industry is advertising for people.

We have good weather, NO state income tax and unlimited educational facilities. The cost of living here is good.

Best of luck to you partner.

Andrew, hang in there. What you can do on a low budget (I have been on one most of my 45 year married life) is watch the newspapers in the PARTING OUT section. Every so often a Maverick will appear in there and is complete. Have seen them out here in California in the PARTOUT column.

All is not lost, and you will recover.

    Have a great holiday weekend.

    Jack
