As far as I understand it, the grabber option was just a trim package, right? Was there more difference to it than that? If for some reason you wanted to remove the grabber option (for example the hood) would the parts be easily interchangeable?

    thanks!

the hoods and parts are just about all interchangeable. early bumpers can be put on later cars with a little work. the grabber can be id'd by the 93 in the vin. if it dosen't have the 93 it is a clone or a non-grabber.:)

everything that makes a grabber a grabber can easily be transfered to a standard 2dr(including the vin plate ;) ) then you just have to paint to match

It is very illegal to swap VIN's on cars. Well, if you get caught, that is. If you were to take care of the fender apron, dash, and door tag, I don't see how anyone could prove anything...

    But I didn't say that.

There are small diffrences from year to year. If you were to take a '72 Grabber VIN, and stick it on a '76 2 door body for example, I could tell relatively quickly after a close inspection of various places that body didn't start out as a '72 Grabber.
