New to this forum...not to cars. I have a '72 Maverick I picked up a few months back. Always liked them and remember my father having a '70 new back when I was a kid. Mine is a basic grandma car that has never been modified and still has the handicap sticker on the bumper...perfect platform for a restomod. Other than the front edge of the hood and spot in the driver floor the car is completely rust free.

I own a restoration and performance shop that specializes in Mustangs and I like the cars that are different from the rest.

Thanks!....yes, a couple are out of place....to explain:

The dodge....I rented one in Vegas and fell in love with the Magnum. I bought this for the wife to drive daily.

The corvette....I bought this car for ONE reason only....to put a Ford engine in it to tick off the chevy guys. Plans are to paint it up like a '96 Grand Sport and stick a 351 with a single turbo in it. I figure enough guys have put chevy engines into Fords over the years so it's time for a little payback (y)

I usually start off by saying "Welcome to the Madness". However, with that list of cars, I am sure you know what the Madness is already. Nice group of vehicles.

    Welcome!

Your welcome! We're having a little get together at Fun Ford Weekend this coming week, June 14, over in Commerce, GA, at Atlanta Dragway. Come on over and meet some of us, the Dixie Maverick bunch!

I wish I could make it over to Fun Ford but I have shop hours that I keep on Saturdays which almost always kills saturday events unless I plan WAY in advance and don't schedule any appointments.

I am not far off I-20 from Pell City (about 12 miles) if any of you guys want to drop by for a few minutes on the way to Commerce (if you are heading this way)...just drop me a PM and I'll give you easy directions.
