Hello to everyone, I am a new member here and would like to be able to learn from the forums and meet new friends. I do not own a Maverick or a comet, but I do have a 65 Falcon hardtop. Much of the mechanicals are the same and do pertain to the tech section, so I hope you all won't mind my presence. I did own a 72 Maverick in high school. It had a transplanted 300cu. six and a threespeed on the floor, I had ALOT of fun with that car. I have also owned a 65 mustang, and many other Fords over the years, including a 65 Cobra replica that was completely home built. It was not a kit. I hand fabricated all that could not be purchased to achieve the end result. I have been thinking of building a drag race car, and the Maverick is a natural choice for me, so that is how I happened upon your web site. Thanks for listening, I hope to be a part of this forum, and meeting new friends. Your Friend, BenC

Hey I'm in Oceanside too and I'm currently building a street/strip Maverick. Where are you at in O-side? We need to get you a Maverick.

Thanks for all the warm replies! Erick, I live down in the valley off of Los Arbolitos and Pala Rd. I'm not in any big hurry to fing the Mav. yet. I still have my 65 falcon to finish, and I just started on that. Not to mention I am slow, as the honey-do's come first and believe me, that list is LONG. Your Friend, BenC

Ben, I live just west of you across the river on Shadow Tree. Mavericks and Falcons are 2 of my favorite cars, lots of memories with both. If you're ever out driving your Falcon or Cobra drive up to the top of Shadow Tree and stop by. I would love to see your cars and you can see my Mavericks. My house is the one with the biggest tree on the street (you can probably even see the tree from your house!).

Hey Erick, I looked for the tree, but no luck from here. Anyway, I will stop by someday, or you are welcome to stop by here. I live on Ponderosa dr. right off of the end of Los Arbolitos. Just look for the 65 Falcon (white) in the driveway. If thats there I should be home. Your Friend, BenC
