I came to a startling conclusion today while leading a fender. While I was block sanding it, I was feeling the form and shape of the body, the experience took me back to my High School days of hand washing my 70 Torino GT. It came upon me in waves as if I were transformed a voice called to me from beyond like a syrine. The voice spoke to me in harsh tones saying,"Idiot..This is Not a Mustang....Its a Torino"! Wow..No S#!t. The voice further comuned with me in softer tones saying, "Stop...Rethink What You Are Doing To My Creation"!
Well Guys you know thats all BS.....But....Im rethinking my build.
So what do you think Bros ...does the Mav/Comet body lines really favor the Torinos and Montegos of the early early 70s?

Yeah...Your not supposed to sand/grind lead...You file it into shape...The lead has definitely gone to his brain...:tiphat:
But I digress...I too have snorted too many lead fumes in my time and agree...They do share lines with the old torino/montego.

I'm sure they share the same lines, since it was probably the same group of guys that designed all the cars at Ford back then...They all kinda had the same look.

Yup, ...70-71 Torino ... what I consider one of the best looking cars of all time ....

    http://www.hemmings.com/hmn/stories/2007/07/01/hmn_feature10.html

I had a 71 Brougham as my second car.

I would take a fastback or convertable in a heartbeat now.

I tried to google this, but no dice ... I remember reading about a gathering that a Torino club had, and they had the lead designer as an honored guest.

I always figured that he had some input into our styling too, with the fastback roof, and front fender shape, at least.

I think it looks like a Maverick. And Resto is having yet another 70s flashback.

I have been told "I like your Camaro dude" by someone caressing my dash as I was giving him a lift to a store.. He started to insist the script "Comet" (stareing him in the face) said Camaro. :footinmouth:

I can see several different cars mentioned looking or resembling the "lines" in a way.. I think it was an era thing. Kinda like the last vehicle to kinda have the Torino "lines" (in my opinion) is the Mustang II.
