I was wondering: has anyone tried to graft a Mustang II (MII) front suspension on a Maverick? As I remember, the front end was from a Falcon with a notorious tendency to destroy ball joints and bushings.

On Spike TV, I saw an episode of MuscleCar that showed graftiing the MII front end on a 66 - 67 vintage Mustang. The front ends looked the same to my old eyes.

    Anyone try this?

I think the engine bay is plenty big for the "BIG" motor... the 250 ci 6 cylinder

What I don't understand is when somebody does the MMII setup only to put a stock 460 in it. A well built 302 will walk all over a stock 460 or even one of those stroked Boss 429 engines:evilsmile

    Well, okay... maybe stock.
It doesn't take much at all to make a 460 into a monster.
You'd be amazed at what a few good parts will do for that engine, and it would still look very mild.

You dont need a MII to fit a 460 in.

our 66 never destroyed them, yes it wore them out but at the same speed as any other car would. We now have a set of poly-utherane in there and it really firmed it up, and the best part no more rattles sounding like the cars going to fall apart.:D
