Yesterday someone pulled out in front of me while driving my 1975 Comet (2door) in the rain and I could not stop in time. So unfortunately I have a damaged front bumper/hood/driver-side fender and headlight socket/ and grill (possibly also the collar that the radiator bolts onto).
I'm trying to come up with the parts to try and put it back together quickly but am having a little trouble finding these parts. I guess I need the fender the most right now. I have been looking through the classifieds and I haven't found anything near me or not taken. I seem to be able to find parts websites for the new quarter panels but not the fender. If anyone knows of where I can get any of these parts while I continue to look I would greatly appreciate it. I live in MD (Baltimore area) so either somewhere I can pick up would be ideal but I at least need a place that ships if I can afford it. Thank you.

    Welcome aboard.

I don't think you will find a way to fix this car "quickly". It will take some time to find all those parts. If you go to the Columbus, Ohio swap meet on Thanksgiving weekend....I am sure you would find stuff there. Same with Carlisle All Ford in June.

There is a Comet grille for sale in the "for sale" section of the forum.

Bangwalker, glad you were not hurt in all this. Sounds like you should be able to find all the parts you need to put it back together.

Did you find the parts you needed? If not I may be able to help you. But I am in Arkansas. I would be willing to ship to help you out.

    Hi,
Sorry to hear about the car getting bent up. Good that you are OK ... that is what REALLY matters.

I have a really nice Comet grille base (best way I can describe it...). It is the panel that goes under the grille and above the flexible panel that acts as the filler panel behind the bumper. Faded paint is all that is wrong with it. It is listed here ....

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/281592934232?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

I also have the U-shaped metal brace that the flex panel gets stapled to, and I will throw that in with this if you need it. Unfortunately, the flex panel that was on the car was sun-baked and crumbling.
