Just as a heads up to be aware of. I did the same swap a few years back and had an issue with the engine running lean. The headers and deleting the EGR can mess up what the stock carb is set for. Keep an eye on the temp gauge if you notice she starts to run hot and keep an ear out for pinging under load. I ran it too long this way and had to replace my valve guides. Later I switched to a Weber so that I had better control over the mixture. Plus you really see the benefits of the header when you have a good carb too. Micah
Actually, I had just the opposite happen. I was running rich. When I got the car the carb had to be rebuilt so I had to reset it anyway and the egr was blocked off when I bought it. I have been watching the temp and all seems normal. What kind of Weber carb did you get? I have never really cared for the original carb.
DGAV. A picture is in this link. Headers were burned through by the time I took this photo. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=96717&highlight=micah+carb Micah
