    Hi:
I´m trying to decide between these two headers.
Some people say that some headers instead of help are more restrictive than the original parts.

What do you think? . The first one is cheaper than the black one.[IMG]

Well...the first one won't fit a Maverick (if they are off of a Fox Body Mustang)....so I guess it will be the black set. :D

    Jaja.

    jaja.

You are right. It is for a Mustang fox. But I looks pretty similar to the stock multiple.

Well the first ones are not headers. They're tubular manifolds. And not much better than cast iron ones, unless you're comparing em to the 289 Hi-po units. Even at that, if you've got stock heads and havn't ported the exhaust sides, headers aren't going to do a whole lot of good anyway.

I have stock heads and haven't ported the exhaust sides. So ? doesn´t have case spend money on headers?

Thanks for the help. I´m a noob.

You can try, but don't expect great things out of headers before porting the heads, or swapping to a set of aftermarket heads. Funny thing about Ford, somehow they damn near always hobbled their engines with either crappy heads (mainly the exhaust sides) or crappy manifolds, or both. There were few exceptions to this, like the 427 FE family) Fords and the 3.8/4.2 V6's, the Cleveland engines (351C, M and 400) and the 429/460s. These four examples were never hobbled with this problem. The 289/302/351W's nearly all were cursed.

    It's interesting to know.
I'm gonna wait to buy it. Only if I can buy it cheap, I´ll buy it.

    Thanks man.Bye

Yea, those are wonderful pieces :biglaugh: A great way to improve the performance of the GT40P heads..........................:rofl2: Almost as good as the log manifolds that Ford saddled almost the FE (352/360/390/428) heads with. Heads that had exhaust ports so good, that they were good enough to work with the 427 Tunnel port heads.
