I was driving the other day and the wind caught my headliner and widened the small rip in it to all the way across the roof. My dad suggested that I stitch it together, and that is taking forever and looks terrible. I think that I'm going to have to get it completely replaced. I'd like to know how much it would cost, if anybody knew someone in the dfw area that would do it right, and if there were any other viable options that would look good.

My options when I tore my headliner were:

    A) Cry
    B) Cuss

IIRC, I invented a few new phrases, it went on for several minutes, and bordered on option A.

Mine actually got a small rip in a panel, rather than a seam, and I managed to bond mine back together with epoxy. With the whole headliner dyed black, it isn't invisible, but OK for now.

If yours is splitting at the seams, it sounds like the threads are going and the rest aren't far behind, so replacement probably is the only resort.

There was a great tech article to a Mustang site that someone posted here. I'll see if I can find it.

Everytime I see headliner replacement mentioned here, they talk replacing the front and rear window gaskets too, since the headliner slips under the rubber.

I know where that is. I got my radiator around the corner from there.

And yes. To do it correctly you must remove the glass, so new rubber is in order. You could check with them and also check to see if they will install one that I know you can get online.
