Are you doing your install with the windshields removed?

Insulate the roof with Dynamat or some sort of insulating batting. If you dont...The car will sound like a tin can each time you close the doors or drive down the road in it.

I'm on a budget so no dynamat for me, I went to home depot and bought 1/8 th inch peel and stick insulation with the silver film seem to work great covered the hole roof with one roll and about one foot off the 2 nd roll.. I'm going to put it in my doors and on the floor.. we'll see how it works, I know some have used this product in there cars..

I got 50 mil Fat Mat to use in mine. Its $129.99 for 100 sqft with an install kit. About 1/2 the price of Dynamat. It is designed to stick upside down or any other position you want to put it, even under the hood if you want.

I hope it still sticks once the roof gets the sun heating it up, and hopefully it won't smell, or worse drip tar....

ya Dave that would suck.. I really didn't think of the sticking part, its foam not like a tar the name is frost king a/c duct wrap... seems to stick pretty good.. do you think I should use something else ? It's not to late the headliner is not installed yet..

If it's foam, you might be ok.
Dynamat, makes Dynaliner, which is much less expensive.
I've read alot about using different products, and it seems, once you get into the Home Improvement products, you can have some issues. I know someone that used the roof seal, and there car smells like tar.

I used 1/4" headliner foam I got at a fabrick store. I used 3M spray adhesive and just glued it to the roof and covered it with the headliner. It quieted the noise quite a bit. Also, I asked for the end pieces of the foam at the store. I got a 50% discount because the pieces were too small to sell to anyone else./ color doesn't matter as it is allbuirried.
