Has anybody here put a headliner in their Maverick? I've been told that I will need to pull the windshield to do it properly, as the headliner sits in the windshield gasket. I've also been told that it just tuckks in there. I have never installed this type of headliner, but if it's not too bad, I'd like to try.

Yep, to do it properly you need to pull the windshield and back window. You can do it without pulling them but it may not hold up as good. You would have to tuck it into the gasket with a little glue to hold it. I have not done it this way so not sure. If you pull the windows, you will probably have to replace the gaskets with are about $100 for both from autokrafters. Replacing the windows is the worst part of it. Take pictures of how it is now before you take it apart so you can get it together right. Good luck.

It is possible to reuse the window gaskets as long as they are not trashed when they are removed..and are not fragile to begin with. I haven't done it myself, but anyone who had mentioned that they did, needed to remove the glass to do it right.

Put an autokrafters in a 75 about 5 years ago. Had it done at a a local shop. Did not pull the winshield or back glass. Still looks like new, don't know if any of us could do it without special tools though. This fellow is from California and did many cars for the movies etc. I think the bill was like 50 or 75 bucks to do it at the time.
