I Am Putting An Entire Under-the-dash Heating System (non A/c) From A Donor 1970 Maverick Into My 1970. There Is A Wire Protruding From The End Of The Heater Blower Motor. This Wire Has Been Cut To Approximately One Inch In Length. Where Does This Wire Go? Also, If You Are Standing In Front Of The Car Looking At The Engine, There Is A Small Hole In The Firewall Approx Two Inches From Where The Accelerator Cable Comes Through. What Was This Hole Used For And Can I Just Plug It Up? I Have Seen Many Mavericks With This Same Hole Unplugged.
    Thanks,

    Stuart

There should be 1 black and 1 orange wire coming from the blower motor. The orange wire is the power and connects under the dash, the black is the ground and should have an eyelet on the end and attached to the rh fender apron near the firewall with a screw.

Mine has that extra hole too. I thought perhaps someone had added it.

That hole is probably for factory A/C equipped Mavs...there was a rubber plug with a vacuum hose and the wire for the A/C compressor clutch that went thru there....
