Well, I Put The New Heater System (entire Under The Dash Unit(non A/c) From A Donor Maverick) In My 1970 Maverick Today. I Used The Old Heater Core Because It Appeared To Be In Good Shape And It Did Not Leak. The Only Problem Is That I Don't Know Which Heater Hose Goes To Which Side Of The Heater Core. I Hooked It Up The Way That I Thought I Remember And I Let The Car Idle For Approx 15 Minutes. The Air That Was Blowing Out Never Got Hot, Not Even Warm, But The Blower Was Blowing Fine, And There Were No Leaks. Could I Have The Hoses In Reverse, And If So, Would That Cause The Air Not To Blow Warm? Was There Anything Else That I Needed To Do That I Might Not Have Done Upon Putting In The Heater System? Help! If Anyone Has Any Ideas That Might Help, Please Let Me Know. It's Cold Here In Georgia This Time Of The Year.
    Thanks,
    Stuart

Doesn't matter which way its hooked up. It will work either way. Only thing I can think of is not enough water in the system (trapped air) or a bad core.

The fan motor is DC, will run backwards, has that been checked?

The fan moter can run backwards but with a squrrel cage fan it will blow the same in either direction. Not with the same force but it will move air in the same direction no matter which way it spind. The way that the fan motor is wired it is almost impossible to hook it up backwards. If it never warmed up then you are getting no water through the core or the core is plugged and the air is not getting through. Do both hoses going to the heater get hot? If not then the core is plugged. If the hoses get hot but the air stays cold then air is not going through the core. Either the passage is not opening or the core is full of debris.

did you run water through the core in both directions to check it before you installed it?? sometimes back flushing a core will stop it up. :yup:

Thanks For All The Help. I Took The Heater Core Out, Flushed It And The Radiator Thoroughly, And Filled The System With New Coolant. It Now Works Fine, It Just Takes Awhile To Get Warm, But Thats Good Enough. Thanks Again For All The Help.
    Stuart.
