    Hi George,

Welcome from Raleigh. Give some specifics about what engine you're thinking about putting in and what's there now and you'll get some useful feedback. If you're replacing one engine/transmission with an identical pair and doing it yourself it can be not much more than the cost of the engine/transmission.

If you are looking for a daily driver...I would go with the 94 Aerostar. Especially if it already runs and drives.

Boo to Craig!!! Aerostars are zero fun!!! I know you're only considering the safety factor here but lots of us have driven Mavericks as daily drivers...and we're still here. :)

I wasn't considering the "safety factor" at all. Considering the ONLY choices are:

    A. 1972 Comet with no engine or tranny

    --OR--

    B. 1994 Ford Aerostar (I assumed it already ran and drove)

    I would take the Aerostar.
