Hello guys! I have a 1975 Comet GT 2dr and I just found a 1976 Comet 4dr in a back alley by my place. I was thinking about buying it up for parts. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if the parts are similar between the 1975 and 1976 Comet? Also is the driveshaft the same between the 2door and 4door version? And the windshield will be the same right? Thanks in advance!

The 4 door has a longer wheelbase so the drive shaft is longer. All other mechanicals are the same. The windshield and all front end body parts are the same. The dash and related parts are the same. Bumpers are the same. Other than that everything between the doors will be different as well as the trunk, back glass and quarter extensions

Hey thanks for the comment. I have been fixing it up for the past 6 weeks already. I bought an Edelbrock 4 barrel high rise aluminum intake and just today bought an Edelbrock 4 barrel electric choke carb for it. I got chrome valve covers, accel yellow plug wires, new plugs, water pump, heater core, brand new white letter tires, new dynoxmax exhaust, refinished the magnum 500 rims, tach, new alpine deck and cerwin vegas 6x9s. The car has 63500 original miles, 289 3 speed and it is very fast and fun to drive! I am going to paint it silver like the mustang (eleanor) on gone in 60 seconds with the hood scoop black.
