Help help- id yellow box

My 74 has a yellow box under the dash, appears to be a computer ignition module? It has PCI/TR/UC.. what the hell is this and what exactly does it do? I no longer run any factory ignition, all msd, but keyed thru the column switch.

It is part of the seatbelt interlock system only used on the 74 models.

 

If you dont have the stock seats anymore would it hurt anything to cut the box out?

 

Unplug it, and see if your car will start?

 

^car wont start anyways got it tore apart,guess i'll try it when i get her running again...

Thanks all for the reply

took it out..we'll see . Dash guage pod is in and at least the lites work. Have ignition, starter,elec fan and fuel pump all working as before. Couple of other little things to deal with then we'll see of she'll fire back up again.

 

It can be bypassed.
