Did any of the later model Mavericks or Comets have hood hinges with springs so as to eliminate the prop rod? Has anyone tried to hook up any springs by modifying the arms? On the early Falcons and Comets, Ford used the same arm configuration but simply hooked up springs to the them by doing some minor mods. Other than that, they were the same.
they never came on these cars but im sure you could rig something up the hood does seem a little flimsey though to have allthe weight supported on the bottom. the prop rod holts it closer to the top which probably helps it from warping
