Okay, I have the oportunity to buy a '71 mav. grabber. It has all the grabber stuff and is a comlete car. Very minor repairable damage to front of hood, good front bumper/valance, body work on the rest of the car except passenger door. floor pans are pretty battered from years of gravel road use. cracked windshield, original inetrior is pretty shot, dent in rear bumper, and valance is battered. However, the car has the original 2bbl 302 and it runs well. It is an automatic and is still pretty roadworthy. 160 thou on odometer, but had very little stop/go town driving. once again, it is all complete and original. Now the question. WHAT IS IT WORTH? I will probably want to sell it for profit. I need all the opinions I can get, and if anyone is interested, shoot me a price. Thank you much!
You don't say what part of the country you are in (or world for that matter). Location will cause prices to change. Higher on the east coast then the west coast. But here it goes. From your decription, it needs a total rebuild and a lot of parts replaced. Complete interior replacement. Although it sounds like the body isn't too bad. I'd say in the $500 range for openers. In comparison, there was a very clean and nice early Grabber in San Diego that sold on ebay for like $1050. It was a 6 cylinder car but was 100% drivable and was pretty much rust free and really clean. That was a deal in my opinion.
